SoulSync — Community Guidelines

Welcome to SoulSync! We are a dedicated Christian community social media platform and Church Management System (ChMS). We exist to build a digital environment that honors God, strengthens the local church, and edifies the body of Christ.

These guidelines describe the standards of behavior we expect on SoulSync. By using the platform, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violating them may lead to warnings, content deletion, account suspension, or permanent ban.

1. The Spirit of SoulSync

We are guided by the instructions of Scripture in how we communicate and interact with one another:

• Edify One Another: *"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."* (Ephesians 4:29). Hostility, mockery, and cruelty are not permitted.
• Speak Truth in Love: Disagreements and debates should be conducted respectfully and in search of truth, not to stir conflict or boast.
• Seek Reconciliation Biblically: If you have a grievance or dispute with a fellow believer, follow the Matthew 18:15-17 principles of private resolution before bringing matters to public forums.
• Respect Authority: Respect the leadership of local congregations and ChMS administrators moderating their independent church spaces.

2. Prohibited Content (Never Allowed)

The following content is strictly prohibited under all circumstances:

• Child Abuse & Exploitation: Any material that depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAM) will be deleted immediately, and we will report all associated data to law enforcement.
• Harassment, Gossip & Slander: We prohibit targeted harassment, bullying, spreading malicious gossip (Proverbs 16:28), or sowing discord among brethren.
• Sexually Explicit Material: We do not allow pornography, sexually explicit narratives, or solicitation. Constructive, respectful discussions of Christian marriage ethics and sexuality are welcome when handled with care.
• Violence & Extremism: Threats of violence, glorification of mass casualties, or promotion of extremist organizations.
• Fraud, Scams & MLMs: Solicitations for fake charities, deceptive financial claims, multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes targeting faith groups, and "prosperity gospel" financial manipulation.
• Doxxing: Posting another user's private phone number, home address, medical records, or other personal identifying info without explicit permission.

3. Discussions Handled With Care

Some topics are permitted but require thoughtful, mature handling:

• Theological Debates: Christianity contains diverse denominational traditions. SoulSync welcomes theological debates across Reformed, Wesleyan, Pentecostal, Catholic, Orthodox, and other traditions, provided they focus on text and doctrine without descending into personal insult.
• Mental Health & Suffering: We encourage sharing testimonies of struggle and asking for prayer. We prohibit glorifying self-harm, suicide, or encouraging users to reject evidence-based medical treatments in place of faith.
• Sin & Repentance: Constructive sermons, biblical teachings, and calls to repentance are allowed. Personal attacks, condemnation, and self-righteous behavior targeting specific individuals are prohibited.

4. Moderation & Safety

• Reporting: If you witness a post or comment that violates these guidelines, report it via the flag/report option or email community@soulsync.faith.
• Human Review: Our trust and safety team reviews flags, taking context into account.
• Consequences: Enforcement actions range from warnings, content removal, temporary account lockout, to permanent termination.
• Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may email community@soulsync.faith within 30 days to request a review by a secondary moderator.
